THE HISTORY OF OUR FARM

Welcome to our farm, one of the best farms in Europe in fattening calves and producing and selling fresh beef.

WE STARTED AS A SMALL FAMILY FARM

The farm was founded in 1935 by Konstantinos Koutsiofti and its main purpose is the fattening of calves. This activity started from a small-scale livestock unit.


Later, the farm and a small distribution network of fresh meat was continued by son George and expanded to its present form by grandsons Stergios and Dimitrios under the name “Koutsiofti Farm”.


The requirements of modern livestock farming, scientific training, optimal management and the need for quality and healthy meat have resulted in the creation of new modernized stables with greater capacity.


The facilities are located in Makrochori of Veria, at the “Papa Vrysi” location and currently have a capacity of more than 1200 calves.

PRODUCTION

The increase in production led to the creation of a privately owned, state-of-the-art feed preparation plant that operates under the constant supervision of quality controls and is fed exclusively with plant feed.

85 years after its foundation, the Koutsiofti farm is now a pioneering livestock unit in its field and a reference point for the production of delicious and healthy meat.

Today, “Koutsiofti Farm” is among the best farms in Europe and its main objective is the fattening of calves and the production and sale of fresh and frozen veal products, always guided by vision and innovation.

OUR INNOVATION

Beef meat "Aroma Omega 3"

Since 2008 Koutsiofti Farm has invested in research and innovation. The calves’ diet consists of a patented (Patent Number: 20080100478) blend of aromatic plants and herbs from the Greek land.

The formula for this patented feed mix “Aroma Omega 3” is the result of long-term research conducted by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The feed mixture used is 100% vegetable, consisting mainly of cereals (corn, barley, bran) and enriched with aromatic plants of the Greek land such as oregano, mint, basil and flaxseed.

Animal Living Conditions

Another of our company’s innovations is the living conditions of the animals. In the modern facilities of Koutsiofti Farm the animals live in a clean, airy, quiet environment, under the sounds of classical music 24 hours a day.

NUTRITIONAL VALUE

This particular feeding process results in the enrichment of the animal’s fatty tissue with omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants, which are beneficial for the health of the human body.

The aromas of all these plants are also passed on to the meat through the fatty tissue, giving it a distinctive taste and aroma.
