Koutsioftis Farm is committed to environmental protection and tries to keep its ecological footprint as low as possible. The farm supplies businesses and shops mainly in Greece, and as a result we have shaped our animal husbandry and production line to be as environmentally friendly as possible.
The operation of Koutsioftis Farm respects and follows all international regulations and national legislation governing livestock farms in terms of environmental protection.
Balanced rations are produced daily at our farm by experienced nutritionists so that there is no waste of available feed which would lead to over-exploitation of the land for their production.
This ensures that plant resources are saved and the environment is better preserved. The correct and balanced feeding of animals results not only in proper growth but also in less soil pollution from undigested nitrogen and trace elements present in feed.
Koutsioftis Farm is proud that part of the energy used for the farm and the rearing of the animals comes from renewable energy sources.
The use of renewable sources combined with the installation of smart systems and machinery that help reduce the energy required, helps us to reduce the energy footprint of the farm.
At the same time, we are particularly active in recycling paper, electrical appliances and batteries, with the aim of reducing waste and maintaining a clean environment.
